The 4 markets selected for the campaign “Reducing the use of disposable plastic products and hard-to-decompose plastic bags” are Pom Han Market - Lao Cai city; Kim Tan Market - Lao Cai city; Ban Lien Market - Bac Ha district; Market in the central village of Ban Lau commune, Muong Khuong district.

At the market points, the Lao Cai Provincial Environmental Protection Fund will coordinate with the Market Management Board to propagate by hanging banners, slogans, posters, billboards, distributing leaflets directly, and propagating content on the Market Management Board's loudspeakers every day. At the same time, hand over trash bins to the Market Management Board to carry out waste collection at points in the market area.

In particular, at the market locations, the model "People's Market - Reducing Plastic Waste" will be implemented, including: establishing an Environmental Team to implement the model, including members who are commune and ward officials, local youth unions, and Market Management Boards. The Environmental Team will organize, implement and maintain the model's activities at the market locations such as: Regularly launching cleaning campaigns and cleaning the environmental landscape at the market locations.
