The Provincial People's Council and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee strengthen coordination in monitoring activities.

Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Vo Xuan Ca and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Xuan Vinh chaired the conference. Attending the conference were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cong Thanh and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Phi Hung.

Presenting the preliminary report, Mr. Trinh Minh Duc - Chief of Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's Council said that after more than 2 years of implementing the regulations, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee have implemented the coordination mechanism well.

Notably, in the period of 2021 - 2023, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to successfully organize 17 meetings, passing 264 resolutions.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council organized 29 meetings, received 86 citizens, and received 470 petitions of all kinds; the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee organized 23 meetings to receive citizens, and received 49 petitions.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee chaired or directed the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of districts, towns and cities to organize more than 80 meetings with voters in many suitable forms.

In particular, the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee always pay attention to and strengthen coordination in monitoring activities. Over the past 2 years, the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council's committees have organized 8 thematic monitoring delegations; the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has chaired the organization of 22 thematic monitoring delegations.

At the conference, the opinions presented discussed and pointed out the achievements, limitations and recommended solutions and more effective forms of coordination in the coming time.

Pointing out the limitations, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Xuan Vinh said that although the coordination in monitoring, resolving voters' opinions and recommendations, and handling citizens' complaints and denunciations has had many positive changes, in general it has not met the people's requirements and aspirations.

There is not much coordination, contribution to the drafting of legal documents and social criticism. Some opinions and feedback from voters and people proposed by the Front at the Provincial People's Council meetings have not been promptly received and resolved by responsible agencies...

At the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Phi Hung presented the content of amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Regulation on coordination of work between the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial People's Council for the period 2021 - 2026.

On behalf of the conference chair, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Vo Xuan Ca said that he will accept comments and suggestions to perfect the Coordination Regulations, overcome the limitations and shortcomings in the implementation in the past. The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial People's Council will strive to improve the effectiveness of the implementation of the coordination regulations, especially in the work of contacting and responding to voters' opinions and recommendations; effectively use data from the monitoring work between the two sides to bring resolutions into life, meeting people's needs; coordinate well in contributing ideas to build legal documents and social criticism...

At the conference, representatives of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee signed the Coordination Regulations for the period 2024 - 2026.
