In 2023, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment advised the Provincial People's Committee to organize the auction of 5 mineral mines in Chi Linh City. Up to now, 4 mines are actively carrying out post-auction procedures. Specifically, 1 mine (Hang Ho hill, Hoang Tien ward) has been decided by the Provincial People's Committee on investment policy and is carrying out procedures for appraising the feasibility study report; 1 mine (Ong Sao hill, Hoang Tan and Ben Tam wards) is submitting to the Provincial People's Committee for decision on investment policy; 1 mine (Trai Quan Trai Met, Ben Tam ward) is exploring minerals; 1 mine (Trai Tuong mountain, Pha Lai ward) has completed the survey, taken samples, and submitted a request for mineral exploration. There is 1 mine whose enterprise refused the auction result (Dai Bo hill mine, Hoang Tan ward, Bac An commune, won by An Binh 62 Joint Stock Company).
For the remaining 23 mines, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has classified and developed a draft plan for auctioning mineral exploitation rights in 2024 and the following years.
