As crucial links in the coal production and consumption chain of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group (TKV), the two key enterprises in the logistics sector, Cam Pha Port and Logistics Company and Da Bac Logistics Company, are striving to complete their 2024 production and business plan.
Cam Pha Port and Logistics Company implemented its Q4 2024 production and business plan amidst numerous difficulties, especially after Typhoon No. 3, which left significant damage to the company's infrastructure, facilities, and production activities. However, the company made efforts with the motto of production coupled with continued recovery, ensuring absolute safety for personnel and equipment. During the 90-day production emulation campaign in Q4, production units within the company took advantage of favorable weather conditions to maximize sales to compensate for the production shortfall caused by the storm. Sales volume in November 2024 reached 5.57 million tons, with a cumulative total of 57.3 million tons, equivalent to 88.12% of the annual plan. Of this, direct coal sales reached 4.6 million tons, with a cumulative total of 42.6 million tons, equivalent to 85.2% of the annual plan. The average salary reached nearly 13.2 million VND/person/month. In December, the units are expected to consume 6.7 million tons, of which 4.7 million tons will be direct coal consumption.
The Automotive Transport Workshop I is one of the exemplary units that has made the most of favorable conditions and overcome difficulties to complete its assigned tasks. In the context of a race against time to meet annual targets, the workshop's repair department faced numerous challenges due to the need for many pieces of equipment for roadworthiness testing and high-level maintenance. The experienced technical department and repair team reported and sought solutions with specialized departments to prepare materials for timely and decisive repairs, ensuring quality after repairs and quickly releasing vehicles to increase equipment utilization efficiency. As a result, the equipment utilization rate remained stable at 80-83% during the month.
Mr. Tran Van Quang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Cam Pha Warehousing and Port Company, emphasized: December is crucial for determining the year's production results. The company leadership requires all units to adhere closely to assigned plans, promoting a 90-day production emulation campaign with the highest determination to boost sales and achieve maximum output. Simultaneously, focus on final settlement and acceptance, review 2024 expenses, actively monitor and implement investment projects for construction and equipment serving production, ensuring progress and meeting requirements; strictly comply with safety regulations, fire prevention, and security measures, and protect mine boundary resources.
Meanwhile, at Da Bac Coal Storage and Transportation Company, the 90-day emulation campaign took place from October 1st to December 31st, 2024. To achieve 2.8 million tons of coal sold in the fourth quarter and 2.5 million tons purchased from mines, the company focused on applying technical solutions, strengthening inspection, control, and management, ensuring security and order in production, and maximizing the mobilization of equipment, machinery, and personnel to serve coal receiving for production companies and to effectively support sales.
According to the leaders of Da Bac Coal Storage and Transportation Company, in 2024, the company aims to achieve an operational sales volume of 11.7 million tons of coal. At the end of the 11-month period, coal exports and consumption reached 9.88 million tons, while coal imports totaled 10.38 million tons. Units within the company are focusing on managing each shift and each day, striving to exceed targets. The company encourages employees to increase useful working time in each production shift, increase labor productivity, and work days with maximum effort to complete the assigned plan.
