Ha Tinh strengthens solutions to support workers before, during and after Tet

Implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Committee - Provincial People's Committee, local Party committees and authorities at all levels in Ha Tinh are synchronously implementing solutions to support workers in difficult circumstances before, during and after Tet in many practical ways.

Starting from the end of December 2023, after receiving information from the Southern Ha Tinh Business Association about supporting 0 VND Tet bus tickets for students, workers, and laborers in the southern provinces facing difficult circumstances to return home for Tet, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and the Red Cross Associations at all levels in Ha Tinh have stepped up propaganda work to inform and implement it to the people. The units also publicized phone numbers and contact points so that people can inform their relatives in the South to promptly register.

The Southern Ha Tinh Business Association plans to give away 1,000 free bus tickets to students and workers in difficult circumstances to return home to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2024.

In order to effectively implement the content, as the leading and coordinating unit, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of the province has regularly contacted directly with representatives of the Southern Ha Tinh Business Association to propose effective implementation plans, bringing many opportunities to people and students in need. Accordingly, after reaching an agreement, in addition to registering through the Red Cross and the Fatherland Front at all levels, workers and students can go directly to the office of the Southern Ha Tinh Business Association (at No. 12, Road No. 7, Van Phuc Urban Area, Hiep Binh Phuoc Ward, Thu Duc City) or register via social networks (at: https://www.facebook.com/hdnhtpn.htbas).

Based on the registration list, the Southern Ha Tinh Business Association and the provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs will coordinate to review and grasp in order to select the right subjects and the right circumstances.

Deploying this content quite early, the Huong Khe District Red Cross Society has soon publicized and disseminated information on social networks and announced through the loudspeaker system. Mr. Tran Minh Dung - Chairman of the Huong Khe District Red Cross Society said: "In addition to announcing to villages and people through the loudspeaker system and social networking sites; the Society also guides and directs the department to receive registrations from people. Based on the list and application from the grassroots, the District Red Cross Society presides over and coordinates with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to check, review, compare and select to ensure the right subjects, fairness, transparency and unanimously propose 49 people to send to the Southern Ha Tinh Business Association to introduce access to the "Zero-VND Bus" program.

It is known that in mid-January 2023, the synthesis and review contents will be completed in time to announce the list and give tickets to people by the end of January 2024.

Huong Khe Red Cross Society, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and the District Fatherland Front Committee met to discuss and compare the list of workers and students in difficult circumstances who wanted to receive free bus tickets for Tet.

Not stopping at coordinating the organization of the "Zero-VND Bus", currently, local authorities and organizations are actively implementing solutions to support workers, compiling lists, understanding the situation to have plans for material support and job counseling.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thai - Head of the Department of Labor - Employment (Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs) said that he has completed the report on reviewing and evaluating 2023 salaries and 2024 Tet bonuses from enterprises, localities, economic zones and industrial parks. As of December 31, 2023, there is no situation of enterprises owing salaries to employees. In addition to the above contents, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has proactively directed districts, cities and towns to grasp the situation of workers returning to their localities for Tet to coordinate with the Ha Tinh Employment Service Center to organize a job fair connecting labor supply and demand before, during and after the Lunar New Year. At the same time, there is a plan to support workers in difficult circumstances to have a warm and prosperous Tet holiday".

In addition, currently, local Party committees, authorities, youth unions at all levels, the Labor Federation, the Women's Union, the Red Cross... are also strengthening coordination and connecting organizations and businesses to bring meaningful gifts before the spring to workers, students, and young people in difficult circumstances in particular, and the people in general. With the highest goal of ensuring that all union members and workers have a happy and safe Tet holiday, with priority given to the disadvantaged, union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Van Trong said: “From the funding sources of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the mobilized and appealed sources from all levels of unions in the province, we plan to give thousands of gifts to union members, workers, and laborers in difficult circumstances. The Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to direct trade union organizations at all levels to implement the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Chia Chia" in 2024; socialize the organization of free buses to take workers home for Tet, give houses and gifts to workers and laborers... to ensure a happy Tet and a warm spring".
