A motorbike entered the alley crossing the railway without looking and collided with a train going to Hanoi station.
On February 5, the Traffic Police Department (Hanoi City Police) informed about the collision between a train and a motorbike at the Van Dien bridge crossing, Van Dien town, Thanh Tri district (Hanoi).
Accordingly, at around 22:20 on February 4, at km 8+050 of the North-South railway, in the area of lane 268 of Ngoc Hoi street, Van Dien town, the train was running slowly and asking for a signal to Giap Bat station when suddenly a motorbike with license plate 35B1 - 605.xx appeared and turned in from Ngoc Hoi street.
Due to the rain and slippery road, the motorcyclist was not paying attention and collided with the train. The collision caused the motorbike to be dragged and thrown towards the train, which was running about 10 meters from the barrier. The motorcyclist was able to jump out and narrowly escape.
The Railway Traffic Police Team, Traffic Police Department recommends that on days of drizzly, wet weather that limits visibility, traffic participants need to pay more attention when traveling through level crossings with railways. For routes coming from small alleys, pay attention to warning signals before crossing the railway-only lane.
