Gold bar and gold ring prices today (February 18): World gold prices skyrocketed again, causing domestic gold ring and gold bar prices to increase sharply in the buying direction.

The price of SJC gold bars was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC), DOJI Jewelry Group, and Bao Tin Min Chau at VND88.3 - 90.8 million/tael (buy - sell), an increase of VND700,000/tael for buying and VND200,000/tael for selling compared to the closing price of last weekend.
In the first two days of the week alone, the buying price of SJC gold bars was adjusted up to 1 million VND per tael, the selling price increased by 500,000 VND per tael.
SJC PNJ gold bars are being traded at 90.1-93.1 million VND/tael, up 1.8 million VND per tael in both buying and selling directions.
Gold bar prices at Phu Quy are listed at 88.4-90.8 million VND for buying and selling respectively, an increase of 200,000 VND for both buying and selling compared to the closing price of yesterday's trading session.
The price of SJC Mi Hong gold bars is currently trading at 89.7-90.7 million VND/tael for buying and selling, an increase of 20,000 VND/tael for buying and selling compared to the closing price of yesterday's trading session. The difference between buying and selling prices is 1 million VND.

Meanwhile, Ngoc Tham Company listed gold bars at 88-90.8 million VND/tael (buy - sell), unchanged in the buy price and increased by 300,000 VND/tael in the sell price compared to yesterday.

Meanwhile, the price of gold rings also increased. Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) listed the price of gold rings at 88.3 - 90.7 million VND/tael (buy - sell); an increase of 700,000 VND/tael for buying and 200,000 VND for selling compared to the closing price at the end of last week.
DOJI Group listed the price of DOJI Hung Thinh Vuong 9999 gold rings, increasing by 200,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions. Compared to yesterday's closing price, the buying and selling transactions were 89.3-90.8 million VND/tael, respectively.
At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the listed price of gold rings is at 89.25 - 90.8 million VND/tael (buy - sell); an increase of 100,000 VND/tael for buying and an increase of 200,000 VND/tael for selling compared to the closing price at the end of last week.
Similarly, PNJ also listed an increase of 1.2 million VND in buying price and 600,000 VND in selling price, currently anchoring the price of round gold rings at 89.5 - 91.7 million VND/tael.
Phu Quy also increased by 100,000 VND/tael in both directions this morning for round gold rings, up to around 89.2 - 90.7 million VND/tael. Mi Hong also increased the price of 999 gold rings, currently trading at 89.2 - 90.5 million VND/tael.

The world gold price fell slightly by 2 USD, down to 2,897 USD/ounce. Along with the geopolitical instability caused by the Donald Trump administration, some analysts said that gold could find more support if this week's data shows a slowdown and inflationary pressures increase.
The US dollar hovered near a two-month low, making gold cheaper for buyers holding other currencies.
"Gold is still benefiting from investors seeking safe haven assets amid concerns about tariffs and trade wars," said Giovanni Staunovo, an analyst at UBS.
The market continues to see upside potential for gold, with the precious metal expected to rise to $3,000 an ounce, Staunovo added. Continued central bank demand is also contributing to the gold rally.
Gold is seen as a hedge against inflation and geopolitical uncertainty, but higher interest rates reduce the appeal of non-yielding gold.
Several Federal Reserve officials are scheduled to speak later this week and traders will be watching closely for any clues on the path of US interest rates. US markets are closed for the Presidents Day holiday.
