At 10:00 a.m. on September 28, SJC Company listed the buying price of SJC gold bars at VND81.5 million/tael and the selling price at VND83.5 million/tael - stable compared to yesterday. The difference in buying and selling prices also remained high, at VND2 million/tael.
The price of 24K gold rings and jewelry listed by SJC Company also remained stable at around 81.5 million VND/tael for buying and 83 million VND/tael for selling.
The price of SJC gold bars and gold rings both remain high.
PNJ Company kept the gold buying price unchanged at 82.5 million VND/tael and selling price at 83.3 million VND/tael. The price of plain gold rings at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company was listed at 82.54 million VND/tael for buying and 83.44 million VND/tael for selling.
This is quite a surprising development after a long period of time when the price of gold rings was often tens of millions of dong per tael lower than that of SJC gold bars.
Domestic gold prices remained high despite the world gold price plummeting at the end of the week.
Accordingly, under strong profit-taking pressure from the market, the international gold price closed the trading week at 2,659 USD/ounce, down about 16 USD per ounce compared to the previous session.
The peak of world gold price recorded this week was 2,685 USD/ounce.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 79.4 million VND/tael.
