At the end of the weekend trading session, silver prices were stable, with no changes compared to yesterday's trading session (February 9).
Precious metals prices turned weaker during the week, while base metals were supported amid high expectations for new economic stimulus policies from China. Silver prices extended their decline into the second session, losing 1.06% to $32.63/ounce.
The Dollar Index rose 0.1% to 107.7 points. According to economists and analysts, the combination of the strength of the USD, high US bond yields and strong profit-taking activities have put pressure on the price of precious metals, especially silver.
