FPT digital transformation for PVEP

PetroVietnam Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP) has just signed a cooperation agreement with FPT Digital (FPT Group) on consulting and building a digital transformation strategy. Attending the signing ceremony, on PVEP's side were Mr. Nguyen Thien Bao - Party Secretary, Chairman of PVEP's Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang - Member of the Board of Directors; Mr. Hoang Ngoc Trung - Deputy General Director in charge of operations. FPT representatives were Chairman of FPT Digital Hoang Viet Anh, Director of FPT Digital Transformation Le Hung Cuong and representatives of the two sides' professional departments. According to PVEP Deputy General Director in charge of operations Hoang Ngoc Trung, at PVEP, all professional and specialized departments: finance and economics, investment, human resources management... already have technical software, but PVEP's leadership expects the system to be upgraded, thereby enhancing the synchronous connection between departments, divisions, and units conveniently and quickly; exploiting digitized documents easily, improving work efficiency. To meet the set desires and expectations, PVEP is in dire need of a consulting and support unit with extensive practical experience, successfully implementing many technology projects for leading corporations and enterprises at home and abroad such as FPT Digital. Mr. Hoang Ngoc Trung believes that the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the two parties will be a premise to help PVEP build a clear plan and roadmap in digital transformation, thereby increasingly developing sustainably, accompanying Petrovietnam and the country to enter the era of national development.

Speaking at the ceremony, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of PVEP Nguyen Thien Bao affirmed that digital transformation is an inevitable story, must be implemented and PVEP has actively implemented it in recent years. However, to meet the goals and requirements of accelerating digital transformation in the coming time, in addition to the advice and support from FPT Digital, Mr. Nguyen Thien Bao requested all PVEP staff and employees to be highly determined, seriously implement, ensure absolute progress in building a digital transformation strategy, thereby completing the digital ecosystem, contributing to helping PVEP develop more and more sustainably.

According to FPT Digital Chairman Hoang Viet Anh, this close cooperation is a testament to FPT's commitment to accompanying PVEP on its digital transformation journey. He believes that "With a vision of 2030, we will accompany PVEP to increase value, expand domestic and international operations, and continue to affirm its position in the oil and gas industry". The digital transformation project at PVEP is expected to be implemented within 6 months, with the highest cohesion and determination of both sides in all items, from surveying and assessing the current status of digital capacity, building a digital transformation roadmap for 2025 - 2030 to organizing training and approaching the building of digital cultural capacity at PVEP.
