(Dan Sinh) - Improving gender equality knowledge to innovate propaganda methods is a main content that the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thanh Hoa province has just organized a contest in Thach Thanh district.
Responding to the Action Month "For gender equality and prevention of gender-based violence", on the morning of November 10, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thanh Hoa province coordinated with the People's Committee of Thach Thanh district and Thanh An commune to organize a contest to learn about gender equality knowledge in 2024.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Anh, Deputy Head of the Department of Children and Gender Equality, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thanh Hoa province, said that the contest aims to innovate the way of propagating, disseminating and educating the law on gender equality; equipping the Club members with knowledge and skills related to gender equality, prevention and response to gender-based violence, and child protection.
Building a network of collaborators and propagandists on gender equality and gender violence prevention in villages and hamlets, in which men play a pioneering role.
At the same time, build an environment without gender discrimination in the community, contributing to creating an equal social environment, without violence against women and children in the locality...
Participating in the competition are 5 teams from 5 clubs operating in the area, including: Morning Sunshine Team, Rice Flower Team, Sunflower Team, Muong Land Flower Team, and Hope Team.
The teams belong to the Club for preventing and minimizing the harmful effects of gender-based violence; the Men's Club for pioneering the prevention of violence against women; the Gender Violence Prevention Team; Collaborators and propagandists on gender equality and gender violence prevention in villages, hamlets and among the people.
The contest is organized in a theatrical form, consisting of 4 parts: greeting; knowledge; eloquence and talent.
The content of the contest revolves around knowledge about the Law on Gender Equality; Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence; Law on Marriage and Family; Government decrees regulating implementation, measures and regulations on administrative sanctions on gender equality...
At the competition, all teams performed well. In particular, in the speaking and talent competitions, the teams attracted the audience with their ability to speak concisely, with captivating voices, and demonstrated their talents in many diverse forms, such as acting, dancing, singing, etc.
At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to the Hoa Dat Muong team; the Second Prize to the Bong Lua team; the Third Prize to the Nang Mai team and 2 Encouragement Prizes to the Hy Hop and Hoa Huong Duong teams.
