On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023), on July 21, on behalf of the Party Committee, army and people in the province, the Nam Dinh Provincial Delegation led by Comrade Le Quoc Chinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Dien Bien Phu battlefield martyrs' temple and the national martyrs' cemeteries: Hill A1, Him Lam, Doc Lap in Dien Bien province.

The delegation included members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee: Nguyen Phung Hoan, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van Va, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; Nguyen Manh Hien, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; Pham Thi Thu Hang, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; comrade Mai Thanh Long, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

Through the resistance wars to protect the Fatherland, Nam Dinh has over 36 thousand martyrs; 2,902 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; more than 41 thousand wounded and sick soldiers; more than 800 veteran revolutionary and pre-uprising cadres; nearly 1,600 revolutionary and resistance activists were captured and imprisoned by the enemy; more than 10 thousand resistance activists were infected with toxic chemicals; more than 200 thousand people with achievements in the resistance were awarded Resistance Medals, Orders, and Certificates of Merit of various types. The contributions of manpower, resources and sacrifices of the heroic martyrs of Nam Dinh contributed to the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory "famous in five continents, shaking the world".

The Dien Bien Phu Martyrs' Temple, located on F Hill, Muong Thanh Ward, was started on March 13, 2021 and inaugurated on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2022). The national martyrs' cemeteries: A1 Hill, Doc Lap, Him Lam are large-scale martyrs' cemeteries, the resting place of 3,945 martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Dien Bien Phu campaign in 1954, many of whom were from Nam Dinh.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation of Nam Dinh province offered wreaths and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs, and respectfully burned incense at the martyrs' graves.

In front of the heroic martyrs, the delegation, on behalf of the Party Committee, government, army and people of Nam Dinh province, vows to wholeheartedly follow the path chosen by the Party and Uncle Ho, steadfastly adhere to Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought, the ideal of national independence and socialism; continue to join hands, unanimously, promote the strength of the great national unity bloc, successfully carry out the goals and tasks of Party building, socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in conjunction with implementing patriotic emulation movements, labor production emulation; well carry out the gratitude movement, regularly care for families of policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services to the revolution; determined to build Nam Dinh homeland to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized./.
