On the afternoon of December 2, in Hanoi, the Central Steering Committee's working delegation on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity led by General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee, had a working session with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Attending the meeting were comrade Bui Thanh Son, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs; members of the working delegation and the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The working session aimed to evaluate the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in recent times, especially the implementation of the conclusions and directions of the Central Committee and the Steering Committee on the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.
The working session will evaluate the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws at the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, thereby promoting the advantages and results achieved and overcoming the shortcomings and limitations pointed out to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management.
Reporting at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Minh Vu, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, emphasized that from 2022 to September 2024, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has focused on leading, directing, disseminating and strictly implementing the regulations of the Party and the Steering Committee; promptly overcoming loopholes and inadequacies in mechanisms and policies in many areas, meeting the requirements of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity. Awareness of Party committees, Party organizations, cadres, Party members and workers has been raised.
The Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has seriously implemented the Central Committee's inspection conclusions, reviewed and considered the responsibilities of relevant Party organizations and individuals; built and seriously implemented the plan according to the conclusions of the Central Inspection Committee. Up to now, the tasks and measures set out have been basically completed...
At the working session, members of the Working Group and comrades in the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs frankly exchanged and discussed, pointing out the achieved results as well as the shortcomings and limitations in the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.
On that basis, propose solutions to make this work truly effective, contributing to building a clean and strong diplomatic sector; at the same time, propose to the Working Group the contents that need to be reported to the Central Committee to continue directing the improvement of the effectiveness of this work in the coming time.
Speaking at the working session, Comrade Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs, assessed that over the past time, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's laws, and the Central Committee's inspection conclusions; seriously learned from experience, deployed plans and solutions to contribute to the effective prevention and combat of corruption, waste, and negativity.
In the coming time, Party committees at all levels in the Foreign Affairs sector will promote the achieved results and be more determined in effectively implementing the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in the new period.

Concluding the meeting, General Luong Tam Quang acknowledged and highly appreciated the frankness and determination of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in recent times.
In the coming time, Comrade General Luong Tam Quang suggested that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs soon have forms of dissemination and popularization to unify awareness and determination in the entire diplomatic sector on the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in the new revolutionary period.
In particular, the fight against waste is a fight against "internal invaders" with a position equivalent to the fight against corruption, waste, and negativity; there are specific measures to soon make the practice of thrift and the prevention of waste a behavioral culture for diplomatic staff.
General Luong Tam Quang emphasized that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs needs to continue to resolutely and effectively implement measures to prevent and combat corruption, waste and negativity that have been very effective in recent times; absolutely not to be lax or subjective, especially in areas where negativity is likely to arise.
Regularly raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees and organizations at all levels, in conjunction with strengthening leadership, direction, inspection, supervision, supplementing and amending mechanisms, policies and laws, promptly plugging loopholes and shortcomings that can lead to corruption, waste and negativity.
Promote administrative reform, streamline the apparatus, digital transformation, publicity and transparency in the operations of agencies and units. Pay special attention to self-inspection and regular and continuous monitoring to detect violations early and remotely in order to prevent and stop small violations from accumulating into major violations, and to prevent waste...
