According to the general planning of the new urban area of Phu Thai (Kim Thanh) until 2045, which has just been approved by the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, this urban area will be built in the direction of a modern industrial urban area, supporting industry and logistics services associated with National Highway 5 and National Highway 17B.
By 2030, Phu Thai new urban area will be a type IV urban area in the urban system of Hai Duong province.
The boundary of the new urban planning study of Phu Thai covers the entire natural area of the existing Phu Thai town, Phuc Thanh commune, Kim Anh commune and part of Kim Xuyen commune.
The new urban space of Phu Thai is divided into 4 sub-areas. Area 1 is Phu Thai town, continuing to develop the existing district center and expanding the urban development space to the east, forming a low-density ecological urban area.
Zone 2 is the area north of National Highway 5 in Phuc Thanh commune, with the main orientation for industrial development; residential areas of Duong Thai Bac and Duong Thai Trung are concentrated along National Highway 5 and District Road 05.
Zone 3 is the area south of National Highway 5 in Kim Xuyen, Phuc Thanh, and Kim Anh communes, oriented for new urban development.
Sub-area 4 in Kim Anh commune is oriented to develop urban-level industrial, commercial and service functions; maintain agricultural land fund to develop organic agriculture, high-quality agriculture to support the development of experiential tourism, farm tourism; renovate and embellish old residential and urban architecture.
In addition to the old residential areas, the new urban area of Phu Thai has adjusted and supplemented the planning of new residential areas (including residential land in mixed plots) in the following areas: New urban area west of Phu Thai town - area A and area B; new residential area Duong Thai Nam, Phuc Thanh commune; new residential area east of Phu Thai town - area A, B, C; new residential area Quyet Thang village, Kim Anh commune; new residential area Van Minh village and new residential area Phan Chi village, Kim Anh commune.
The locality also plans to have 1 district cultural palace, 1 children's palace, 1 exhibition palace, 1 district library in the central area of Kim Anh commune, each project has an area of about 1.5 hectares.
Planning a new industrial area in Phuc Thanh commune according to the planning orientation of Kim Thanh district with a scale of about 75 hectares and a non-concentrated industrial production area suitable for the district's land use planning.
