The flood situation in Huong Khe district (Ha Tinh) has affected the power grid infrastructure. According to initial estimates, the damage is over 200 million VND.

In recent days, heavy rain has occurred in Huong Khe district, causing flooding and landslides in many locations, affecting the power grid infrastructure. According to statistics from the professional sector, as of the evening of October 31, 2023, in Huong Khe district, there were 4 landslides at medium-voltage power poles in the communes of Loc Yen, Huong Lam, Ha Linh, Phu Phong and 1 tilted medium-voltage power pole in Huong Xuan commune.

Huong Khe Power workers stay on site, closely monitoring each power line and transformer station during the flood season.

Regarding the low-voltage grid, there were 3 landslides at low-voltage poles, 1 tilted low-voltage pole, and 9 cracked and broken low-voltage poles in the communes of Huong Trach, Ha Linh, Huong Long, Huong Lien, Huong Binh, and Hoa Hai.

In addition, 2 transformer stations are at risk of landslides due to floods, including: Khe Tho transformer station (Ha Linh commune) and hamlet 8 transformer station - Gia Pho commune; 7 lightning rods were damaged... Total initial estimated damage is over 200 million VND.

The electricity industry quickly erected bamboo and wooden poles... to temporarily repair cracked and broken low-voltage poles to prioritize supplying electricity to the people.

According to Mr. Pham Luong Trung - Director of Huong Khe Electricity, as of 9:00 p.m. on October 31, 2023, the electricity sector has temporarily stopped supplying electricity to more than 1,000 households in 5 communes: Huong Giang, Huong Thuy, Dien My, Ha Linh, Phuc Dong and Hoa Hai (due to rising flood waters, the power grid is not yet qualified to operate). The electricity sector will closely monitor each power line and transformer station, and quickly restore electricity to the people when safety conditions are met.

For the cracked and broken low-voltage power poles, the electricity sector has quickly erected bamboo and wooden poles to temporarily fix them; for the collapsed and tilted medium and low-voltage power poles and the transformer stations at risk of landslides in the communes, the electricity sector has reinforced and supported them, prioritizing the supply of electricity to serve the people's daily life.

When the flood waters recede, Huong Khe Power Company will inspect, review, and promptly replace damaged equipment on the grid, ensuring the grid operates safely and stably.
