LAM DONG - The road through Prenn Pass has been widened from 7 m to 14 m, expected to be completed by the end of this year, helping to relieve traffic congestion at the gateway to Da Lat City.

Prenn Pass connects National Highway 20 - the main road from the Southeast region to Da Lat, often crowded and overloaded on weekends, holidays and Tet. In February this year, the 7.4 km long road through the pass was doubled in width , with 4 car lanes, a speed limit of 60 km/h, and a total investment of more than 552 billion VND.

The road surface of the pass towards Da Lat city is being paved.
There are currently more than 300 people at the construction site, along with 130 vehicles, machines and equipment, divided into 5 construction teams working in 3 shifts.

The construction unit is resurfacing the road near the Da Lat inter-provincial bus station. The 3km long pass from Datanla waterfall to Da Lat city is expected to be put into use in November.
After expansion, the route will have 4 lanes to avoid traffic jams like in January 2023.

The multi-meter high reinforced concrete retaining wall was completed.

The more than 4 km section of Lien Khuong Expressway is being expanded at the same time as the roadbed, drainage system, and slope construction...
The construction unit said that the process of widening the pass encountered many difficulties due to prolonged heavy rains and complex geology, causing the progress to fall short of expectations (about 50% of the volume). However, the company committed to speeding up the progress, expecting to hand over the project on time by the end of this year.
According to Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, the expanded route will solve traffic congestion and contribute to creating a breakthrough in multi-faceted development for Da Lat City, while creating an inter-regional traffic axis connecting Lien Khuong Airport with the routes in the center of Da Lat.
