Hon Doi Moi in the West of Phu Quoc Island, located in Ganh Dau commune, is one of the few islands that still retains its authentic wild beauty, a wonderful destination for those who love and want to immerse themselves in the peacefulness of nature.
From the coast of the city that never sleeps (Grand World Phu Quoc), visitors can see this small island with a distance of less than 1km of sea surface. Although it only has an area of about 2,500m2, the marine ecosystem around Doi Moi island is extremely impressive.
From above, we can recognize this beautiful, wild island with a few green trees growing on high rocks and a small white sand beach jutting out into the sea. Surrounding the island is a large, colorful coral reef. The sea water here is clear to the bottom, so it will be an extremely attractive experience for those who love diving.
The coral reefs in Hon Doi Moi are very rich with about dozens of different types of hard, soft and sea anemones. Visitors can participate in scuba diving to see the colorful corals and pristine marine ecosystem even if they cannot swim.
In addition to experiencing swimming and coral viewing, visitors can also dive to catch fish, clams, snails, sea urchins, etc. at Doi Moi Island. Especially, when the sunset gradually falls, you can enjoy the quietest moment of the day with your friends and relatives under the romantic scenery on the beach. This is also the ideal time to check-in with the most beautiful photos at Doi Moi Island to commemorate the trip.
Note: Hon Doi Moi is a truly wild and small island, so when going to the island, everyone needs to prepare enough food, drinks, tents (if staying overnight) and only leave when you are sure to return the wild and peaceful beauty of this small island.
To get to Doi Moi Island, visitors must first ride a motorbike to Bai Dai and then rent a boat from the locals around to get to the island. The boat rental fee is from 200,000 to 300,000 VND/person. If you go in a large group, you can negotiate privately with the boat owner. From Doi Moi Island, you can clearly see Grand World Phu Quoc.
Before going, you should check the weather forecast, or choose a time between October and March every year, in the ideal time frame from 3pm to 6pm every day, to have the best experience.
