People are the subject
Village 6, Dak Wer commune was selected to build an advanced new rural area. In 2022, with the motto of the State and the People working together, the village invested in rebuilding the hall with a total amount of 857 million VND, of which the People contributed 257 million VND. Or in building the village hall, the Party cell advocated not collecting money from elderly and single households; poor households only paid 50%. Party members joined hands to contribute the part of exempted and reduced households. Thanks to that, up to now, the village hall has been completed with an area of 130m2, providing seating for 150 people.
In addition, with the consensus of the villagers, we mobilized social resources to build volleyball and mini soccer fields... to serve the cultural and sports needs of the people. In addition, the people also contributed to building lighting, model residential areas, model gardens...
Comrade Luyen Sy Khanh, Secretary of the Party Cell of Village 6, Dak Wer Commune, said: “The Party Cell always determines that building a new rural area is not about putting the “heart and soul” of the cadres in, but it must be the “heart and soul” of the people. The people are the main subject, and only when the people agree can the work be successful, in which cadres and party members must take the lead and set an example. Every month, the Party Cell meets, discusses democratically, builds resolutions, and assigns specific responsibilities to each individual. Party members are assigned to attend meetings of each residential area to discuss with the people, creating consensus.”
Not only village 6, according to comrade Le Viet Sy, Secretary of the Dak Wer Commune Party Committee, in 2018, Dak Wer was recognized as a new rural commune. When it was first recognized, most of the criteria were only at the level of achievement. Assessing the advantages and difficulties in building new rural areas, the Dak Wer Commune Party Committee issued a specialized Resolution on building new rural communes in the period of 2021 - 2025 to focus on leading and directing the construction of advanced new rural areas.
Striving to achieve new rural district status by 2025
The Resolution of the Dak R'lap District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term sets the target that by 2025, Dak R'lap District will strive to become the first district in Dak Nong Province to become a new-style rural district. To achieve this target, the Dak R'lap District Party Committee has issued a resolution and a specific action program. To date, the district has achieved 10/10 communes as new-style rural districts. Particularly for the 9 criteria of a new-style rural district, Dak R'lap has achieved 8 criteria. As for one environmental criterion, the district is focusing on leadership and direction to soon complete the landfill project and handle environmental pollution in the district.
Dak R'lap District Party Secretary Phan Nhat Thanh said that some criteria of the local New Rural Construction Program for the period of 2021 - 2025 have increased somewhat. Therefore, in order to successfully implement the resolution, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee issued a conclusion assigning the New Rural Office and the District People's Committee to organize a meeting to discuss and re-evaluate the criteria and targets of the communes that have been recognized as New Rural Areas compared with the criteria of the period of 2021 - 2025 to see which criteria are still lacking. On that basis, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and the Executive Committee of the District Party Committee organized a thematic meeting, analyzed and proposed solutions, and strived to complete the main criteria of the New Rural Area district.
