Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan visits and works with the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations

On December 5, in Hanoi, Mr. Kohdayar Marri, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan visited and worked with the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations.

Representatives of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations welcomed Ambassador Kohdayar Marri with Associate Professor, Doctor, Musician Do Hong Quan, Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations; Major General, Musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, President of the Vietnam Musicians Association; Journalist, Artist Ho Sy Minh, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, Editor-in-Chief of Photography and Life Magazine; Ms. Nguyen Hoai Thuong, Head of the Emulation and Reward Committee, Deputy Head of the External Relations Committee of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations.

At the reception, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations Do Hong Quan introduced the history of the formation, tasks and missions of the Union for literature and arts, as well as outstanding creative and performing activities of Vietnamese artists today. Thereby, helping Ambassador Kohdayar Marri better understand the historical flow of Vietnamese literature and arts, about the country, people and culture of Vietnam.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Vietnam highly appreciated the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Pakistan that has been maintained and continuously strengthened over the past 50 years, and wished to continue to further develop the relationship between the two countries and promote the achievements that have been made.

Ambassador Kohdayar Marri shared about Pakistan's unique and rich culture, which he said is not only a delicate blend of historical, religious and ethnic elements, but also a rich source of inspiration for artists and art enthusiasts around the world.

Ambassador Kohdayar Marri also said that he was very impressed with the Vietnamese art performances that he had the opportunity to enjoy at some recent events and expressed special interest in the Vietnamese art and culture sector.

President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations Do Hong Quan presented a souvenir gift to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Kohdayar Marri on the occasion of the Ambassador's visit and work at the Union.

Through this visit, Ambassador Kohdayar Marri hopes to connect and promote cultural and artistic exchanges between the two countries.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed exchange and cooperation activities in the fields of literature and art in the near future, first of all in the fields of music, photography, literature and architecture. At the same time, they expressed their hope that the cultural cooperation programs of the two countries will achieve many good results in the coming time.

The Pakistani Ambassador presented the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations with a photo book "Colours of vibrant Pakistan".

Ambassador Kohdayar Marri’s visit has opened up many potential cooperation opportunities in the field of literature and art between Pakistan and Vietnam. This event promises to be a premise for future cooperation activities, contributing to further strengthening the friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries.
