(NLDO) – The world gold price set a new record peak of over 2,950 USD/ounce, pushing the price of SJC gold bars and gold rings to continue increasing.
At the end of the day, the price of SJC bars was simultaneously increased by SJC, PNJ, DOJI companies to 90 million VND/tael for buying and 92.3 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 200,000 VND compared to the morning. Today, the price of gold bars increased by a total of about 400,000 VND. This is the 4th consecutive day that the price of gold bars has increased, up to about 2 million VND/tael.
Banks also listed SJC gold bars with differences, ACB, Sacombank, Eximbank sold gold bars from 91 million VND to 91.8 million VND/tael.
Domestic gold prices increased for many consecutive days
Similarly, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold also increased strongly when listed by businesses for buying at around VND89.9 million/tael, selling at VND92 million/tael, an increase of VND200,000 compared to the morning. During the day, the price of gold rings increased by a total of VND300,000/tael.
Businesses kept the buying price at around VND90 million/tael, causing the difference between buying and selling prices to widen to VND2.3 million/tael in the context of a sharp increase in gold prices.
Domestic gold prices have increased for four consecutive days since the beginning of this week. Compared to the peak of VND93.1 million/tael, the current gold price is less than VND1 million away.
The increase in gold prices surprised many people. When the price of gold exceeded 92 million VND/tael, many people wondered whether they should buy gold now - after it had increased rapidly for many consecutive weeks.
Precious metals continue to rise as the international gold price today set a new record high. Only the adjustment session last weekend caused the gold price to fall far below the $2,900/ounce mark, the gold price unexpectedly increased again since the beginning of the week. By this afternoon, Vietnam time, the world gold price continued to break the record when it increased beyond $2,950/ounce.
World gold price sets new historical peak
At 6 p.m. Vietnam time, the world gold price was at $2,953/ounce, up about $15/ounce compared to the morning. Data just released by the World Gold Council (WGC) shows that the Chinese central bank has bought gold for the third consecutive month; demand in the country's domestic market for the precious metal has also continued to improve. Gold prices have been continuously increasing and have not seen a peak in recent days.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 91.5 million VND/tael, only lower than the price of SJC gold bars and gold rings by less than 1 million VND/tael.
