(NADS) - Implementing the plan to organize activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam Electricity Industry's Tradition Day, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (Implementing unit: Vietnam Artistic Photography Archive and Exhibition Center) launched the Photo Contest "EVN - 70 years of innovation with the country".
I, Contestants:
The contest is open to all Vietnamese citizens at home and abroad; foreigners working and living in Vietnam, without age limit.
(The Organizing Committee, the Jury and the Secretariat do not participate in the competition).
II. Topic and content:
1, Topic: “ EVN – 70 years of innovation with the country ”
2, Content:
- Photos must be taken in the territory of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
- The most beautiful moment of daily life related to the Electricity industry, expressing the intention of the contest is electricity and its meaning to daily life, the role of EVN in the development of the country, electricity - lighting up the belief in a bright future.
- Commend typical examples in managing and using electricity in all areas of life with the spirit of efficiency and savings.
- Beautiful images of EVN's key projects.
- Reflects EVN's efforts in ensuring enough electricity for socio-economic development and improving people's lives, protecting the country's border and island sovereignty throughout 70 years of development.
- Priority is given to photos that show the following content:
Modernization of the Electricity Industry.
Electricity in life and production.
Key projects of EVN.
III. Regulations on entries:
- Contest photos must be color or black and white.
- The work can be a single photo or a photo series. Each photo series is considered a work, consisting of 05 to 08 photos. The Organizing Committee encourages photo series to have a caption (maximum 150 words) introducing the content of the photo series. (On the website receiving photos, there will be specific instructions when the author submits the photos).
- Do not accept collage photos.
- Works that have won awards and exhibitions at national and regional levels previously organized, coordinated and sponsored by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists will not be accepted.
- Works that have won awards or been exhibited in previous photo contests organized by other organizations are eligible to participate in the contest.
- The author of the photo entry must take full responsibility for the copyright of his/her work.
- The Organizing Committee is allowed to use the winning photos and display them for exhibitions and promotional purposes for the contest as well as for non-commercial purposes. For other contest photos, if they are used by Vietnam Electricity Group for purposes other than industry promotion, they will be entitled to royalties according to regulations.
- Photos that violate the contest rules will be removed without prior notice. After the results are announced, if there is evidence of fraud, copying of works, or violations of the contest rules, the Organizing Committee will revoke the awards and cancel the results for those works.
- Award-winning and exhibition photos are scored at the Regional level according to the Regulations of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
Author's responsibility:
- Comply with the contest rules; submitting works to the contest means that the author accepts all the provisions in the rules.
- Responsible for copyright and personal income tax according to the law.
- The author violates the contest rules when the Organizing Committee discovers:
+ If you are a member of the Vietnam Association of Photographers, the Organizing Committee will cancel all works participating in the contest, not be considered for titles, awards for excellent photography, creative support and rewards in 2024; widely announced on the Association's website;
+ If you are not a member of the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts, the Organizing Committee will cancel all works participating in the contest and will not consider admitting you as a member if you meet the admission requirements in 2024.
IV, Contest photo specifications:
- Photos must be successfully uploaded to the website: http://evn70nam.com before 23:59 on June 30, 2024. (There are specific instructions on how to submit photos step by step on the contest website).
- Contest photos must be in digital format, image file format is jpg. Minimum size of the shortest dimension is 3000 pixels, resolution 300 dpi.
- Photo size from 3Mb – 5Mb.
- Each author can submit up to 20 entries.
- The photo must not have the author's name, watermark, location, border, etc.
- Name the file with Alphabet characters (uppercase or lowercase), do not use strange characters such as æ, ø, å… do not use proper names and addresses to name the file.
- Photos that do not comply with the contest rules will be disqualified.

- Technical support: Chat in the right corner of the screen.
V, Awards:
+ 01 VAPA Gold Medal, with 20,000,000 VND
+ 02 VAPA Silver Medals, each prize comes with 10,000,000 VND
+ 03 VAPA Bronze Medals, each prize comes with 5,000,000 VND
+ 05 Consolation prizes, each prize 2,000,000 VND
Each exhibition photo (expected 150 photos) will receive 500,000 VND

+ And some members of other professional units of the two units.
VIII, Board of Judges:
Proposed by the Art Council of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
The President of the Association issued the Decision to establish.
IX, Time and place to receive photos:
- Competition launch: April 2024.
- Photo submission deadline: June 30, 2024.
- Judging: From July 5 to 15, 2024 in Hanoi
- Award ceremony and exhibition opening: August 2024 in Hanoi.
