In 2023, Sasco's pre-tax profit will be more than 333 billion VND - the highest level since the Covid-19 pandemic severely affected the aviation industry.
According to the recently released consolidated financial report, Tan Son Nhat Airport Services Joint Stock Company (Sasco) achieved revenue of more than VND690 billion in the last quarter of last year, an increase of more than 24% over the same period in 2022.
However, Sasco's pre-tax profit this period decreased by more than half, down to approximately VND49 billion. The company explained that this decrease was mainly due to an increase in provisions for bad debts.
However, thanks to a large profit of more than 150 billion VND in the third quarter of 2023, Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen's company had a pre-tax profit of more than 333 billion VND in the whole last year. This is also the highest level since the pandemic hit. This figure is equivalent to 75% of Sasco's peak profit achieved in 2019.
Sasco is one of the largest aviation service providers in Vietnam. The company specializes in managing and operating duty-free shops, restaurants, and business lounges at Tan Son Nhat Airport (HCMC).
At Sasco, Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen has been Chairman of the Board of Directors since mid-2017, and his wife, Ms. Le Hong Thuy Tien, is on the Board of Directors. Three companies related to this businessman currently hold more than 45% of the capital.
In addition, Mr. Hanh Nguyen is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cam Ranh International Terminal Company (CRTC) - the company that operates the business lounge system and duty-free shops at Cam Ranh international terminal.
