(BLC) - The Congress was held on May 28. Comrade Nguyen Manh Tu - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Bank for Social Policies (VBSP), Head of the Supervisory Board of the Board of Directors - VBSP attended and directed the Congress.
During the past term, the Provincial Social Policy Bank's Grassroots Trade Union has performed well its function of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees. 100% of affiliated units have created conditions for union members and employees to have regular health check-ups (with 460 union members and employees having regular health check-ups at least once a year). 569 union members and employees with good work performance have been able to go on tours and study experiences in the country. The income level of employees is guaranteed to be higher each year than the previous year, in accordance with the State's salary policy and the position and workload, completing the targets assigned by the Social Policy Bank.

Along with that, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union regularly pays attention to implementing social security work well, making contributions and supporting funds launched by trade unions at all levels. Timely visiting sick, mourning, happy occasions, supporting families of cadres, civil servants and workers in difficulty. In the campaigns, 100% of trade union members enthusiastically participate in response.
As of the end of April 2023, the total capital managed and mobilized was: VND 3,406 billion, an increase of VND 1,697 billion - an increase of 99.3% compared to the beginning of the term. Total outstanding credit reached VND 3,400 billion, an increase of VND 1,694 billion - an increase of 99.3% compared to the beginning of the term. Credit quality is increasingly improved, bad debt is decreasing (bad debt as of April 30, 2023 was VND 4 billion, a decrease of VND 5.4 billion - a decrease of 58.8% compared to 2017). Credit capital sources have contributed to job creation, improving people's lives and ensuring social security in the locality.
With the results achieved, during the term, 60 union members were awarded the title of grassroots emulation fighters; 15 collectives and 40 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Governor of the State Bank and Ministries, branches, the Central Government, and the Provincial People's Committee. 37 collectives and 236 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the General Director; many collectives and individuals were awarded the title of advanced collectives and workers, and were commended by the Branch Director. The Vietnam Bank Trade Union awarded comprehensive Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and individuals. The Social Policy Bank Trade Union awarded certificates of merit to 69 collectives and individuals; and were recognized and commended by various levels and awarded many other forms of commendation.

In the 2023-2028 term, the Trade Union of the Provincial Branch of the Bank for Social Policies will continue to innovate its content and methods of operation. Improve the capacity to participate in management, care for the lives, protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. Build the Trade Union organization and the team of union members and workers to develop in quantity and quality, promote professional ethics, build the image of a Bank for Social Policies officer with good ethics and good skills. Strive to have over 90% of union members and workers achieve the title of advanced workers every year; introduce over 10 outstanding union members to the Party for training and admission to the Party, increase capital sources and outstanding loans annually from 8% to 10%...

The Congress elected 7 comrades to the Executive Committee of the VBSP's Trade Union, Provincial Branch, term VI, 2023-2028; Comrade Nguyen Thanh Ha - Deputy Director of the VBSP's Provincial Branch, was re-elected as Chairman of the Trade Union. The Congress also elected a delegation to attend the higher-level Trade Union Congress, including 2 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate; voted and approved the Resolution of the 6th Congress, term 2023-2028.
