Ho Chi Minh City's subject scores have not changed much. Candidates can look up their public 10th grade entrance exam scores on June 20.
After finishing the 10th grade exam marking, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that the scores of Literature, Math, and Foreign Language subjects did not change much compared to last year. The number of candidates with zero points in Literature and Math decreased significantly compared to last year.
Specifically, nearly 55% of the Math test scores were above average, commonly at 5-7 points. The number of candidates scoring 10 points was lower than last year. About 90% of the Literature test scores were above average, of which more than 12% scored 8 points or more. The highest score on this test was 9.25.
About 32% of the foreign language test scores were excellent (8 points or higher), the highest among the three basic subjects. The number of candidates scoring 10 points was more than 1,900, a sharp increase compared to 478 in 2022.

After the exam scores are announced, candidates who want to appeal can submit an application to their secondary school - where they studied grade 9 - from June 21 to 24. The appeal results will be announced on June 30.
On June 24, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will announce the admission scores for specialized and integrated grade 10 and the list of candidates admitted directly. The admission scores for regular grade 10 and the list of successful candidates will be announced on July 10.
Last year, about 45% of candidates taking the 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City had below average scores in Math and English. Nearly 90% of candidates scored 5 or higher in Literature.
This year, out of nearly 96,000 candidates taking the exam, about 77,300 will be admitted (80%). Many teachers believe that the benchmark score for grade 10 in Ho Chi Minh City this year could be over 25 points for top schools, 16-22 points for mid-ranking schools, and over 11 points for suburban schools. This level is an increase of 0.5-1 point compared to last year.
