There is another Saigon on the river

In the tourist community coming to Vietnam, there is a joke that "traffic jams are also a specialty of Saigon". When you are too tired of the noisy car horns and dust on the asphalt road, try spending a day traveling Saigon on the river by waterbus.

River experiences are a feature of Ho Chi Minh City tourism. Visitors can see the city from a different perspective, through many famous landmarks such as Nha Rong Wharf, Ben Nghe Port, Phu My Bridge, Den Do Cape, and Binh Khanh Ferry Terminal.

The most popular river tourism activity in Ho Chi Minh City is the river bus route. This is a popular tourist experience, suitable for all types of tourists. The river bus departs daily at 8:30 a.m. from Bach Dang, Binh An, Linh Dong, Thanh Da, and Hiep Binh Chanh wharfs. Each trip is usually 30 minutes to an hour apart.

In addition, visitors can experience the night bus route, departing at 10pm at the latest. Tickets can be booked online or purchased directly at the station for 15,000 VND per trip.

The river bus officially operated since the end of 2017, with the initial purpose of becoming a means of public transport between districts, helping to reduce road traffic.
