On the morning of September 11, at the National Assembly House, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue worked with the Organizing Committee of the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians to review preparations for the Conference.
Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, Head of the Conference Organizing Committee, received the direction of the National Assembly Chairman.
Attending the meeting were: Politburo member, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, Head of the Conference Organizing Committee; members of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Heads of the Conference Organizing Committee: Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong, Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee Vu Hai Ha and Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Group of Young National Assembly Deputies of Vietnam, XVth tenure Nguyen Anh Tuan; Heads of Sub-committees of the Conference Organizing Committee, National Secretariat of the Conference.
At the meeting, on behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 9th Global Young Parliamentarians' Conference, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Group of Young National Assembly Deputies of Vietnam, XVth tenure, Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Conference, reported on the preparation for the Conference and a number of issues that need to be consulted with the National Assembly leaders regarding the preparation for the Conference.
According to Chairman of the Young National Assembly Delegates Group Nguyen Anh Tuan, up to now, there have been 76 international delegations with a total of more than 300 delegates registered to attend the Conference. The Organizing Committee has directed and urged the Sub-Committees to complete the work items serving the Conference.
Speaking at the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue requested that the Conference Organizing Committee, Sub-Committee Heads and units closely follow and grasp the progress of each specific and detailed task in the preparation for the Conference and be responsible for the results of the assigned work. The National Assembly Chairman also noted that it is necessary to focus on propaganda before, during and after the Conference; the Organizing Committee needs to ensure the provision of official and timely information to the press.
The National Secretariat of the Conference needs to urgently review the list of official delegates attending the Conference's activities, have a plan to officially assign delegates to attend the Conference's thematic discussion sessions; prepare plans and frameworks for bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the Conference...
On behalf of the Conference Organizing Committee, fully accepting the instructions of the National Assembly Chairman, the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, Head of the Conference Organizing Committee, also emphasized that there are only 3 days left until the Conference takes place. Therefore, the members of the Conference Organizing Committee, the Subcommittees of the Conference Organizing Committee, the National Secretariat of the Conference, and agencies and units need to enhance their sense of responsibility, continue to proactively coordinate and urge the implementation of tasks; systematize the conclusions of the National Assembly Chairman at the meetings reviewing the preparation work for the Conference to promptly report on each work content.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly also suggested that agencies and units urgently learn from experience in organizing and implementing the conference in the past, regularly review the preparation work, calculate backup plans, and ensure that the preparation work for the conference is carried out on time and according to the set requirements.
Along with that, the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that the National Secretariat of the Conference should closely coordinate with the IPU Secretariat and relevant parties to complete the draft Hanoi Declaration; coordinate with the Conference Reception - Logistics - Security - Health Subcommittee to carefully prepare the plan to welcome delegates to the Conference. The Information - Propaganda Subcommittee continues to closely coordinate with press agencies to closely follow the propaganda project, closely follow the developments of activities in the Conference program to ensure that the propaganda work for the Conference is complete, timely and vivid.
