National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue sent a letter of thanks to President of the Belgian House of Representatives Eliane Tillieux

In the letter, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue expressed his joy and emotion when receiving information that the Belgian House of Representatives passed a Resolution calling for support for Vietnamese Agent Orange victims on October 5 with the consensus of 134/134 parliamentarians. This is an important and extremely meaningful Resolution for Vietnam, helping to raise the international community's awareness of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam and continue to support Vietnam in dealing with the consequences of war.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said that the Belgian House of Representatives is the first parliament in the world to pass a resolution on Agent Orange victims, creating a great resonance, affirming Belgium's role in the international arena, spreading positive meanings to parliaments around the world. The Belgian House of Representatives' passing of the Resolution is a historic milestone, affirming the good cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Belgium in the context of the two countries celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (1973 - 2023).

On behalf of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and on his own behalf, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue respectfully sends to the Chairwoman and Belgian parliamentarians his most sincere thanks for their support during the discussion and adoption of the above Resolution as well as for her extremely positive contributions to promoting the development of Vietnam - Belgium relations.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue also shared that he always holds deep memories of his visit to the Kingdom of Belgium in September 2021 with extensive exchanges on the relationship between the two countries and between the legislative bodies of the two countries. On this occasion, the National Assembly Chairman respectfully invited her and the Belgian House of Representatives delegation to visit Vietnam and firmly believed that her visit to Vietnam would be an opportunity for the two sides to promote and deepen the Vietnam - Belgium relationship in general and between the legislative bodies of the two countries in particular.
