Starlake Tay Ho investor fined and charged over 4.5 billion VND in taxes

(Dan Tri) - THT Development Company Limited - the investor of the Tay Ho Tay Urban Center project has just been fined and charged a total of more than 4.5 billion VND by the tax authority.

Hanoi Tax Department (now Region I Tax Department) has just issued a conclusion on tax inspection at THT Development Company Limited.

The inspection conclusion stated that, through reviewing invoices for purchasing goods and services according to data on the TMS tax management system on February 20, the inspection team determined that in the fiscal year 2023, THT Development Company Limited used 28 invoices of 8 businesses that were not operating at the registered address before the time of the tax authority's announcement, with a total value of 743 million VND.

The total amount of corporate income tax and value added tax (VAT) collected after the inspection is more than 3.44 billion VND, the VAT deducted and transferred to the next period is 71 million VND. In addition, THT Development Company Limited must pay a fine of 760 million VND due to false declaration and late payment as of February 26 is 343 million VND. The total amount of money collected, fined and late payment by the enterprise is more than 4.5 billion VND.

The tax authority requires THT Development Company Limited to comply with the payment of arrears, fines, and late payment fees from the date of receipt of the decision on administrative sanctions for tax violations.

The West Lake Urban Area (Starlake Tay Ho) is planned on an area of ​​over 186 hectares, within the administrative boundaries of Xuan La Ward (Tay Ho District), Nghia Do Ward (Cau Giay District), Xuan Dinh Commune and Co Nhue 1 Ward (Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi).

This project was officially started in 2014 by THT Development Co., Ltd. (under Daewoo E&C Group) as the investor with a capital scale of more than 1.3 billion USD.
