According to the German version of Sky Sport , Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr club has completed the signing of Sadio Mane from Bayern Munich for a fee of £24 million. The transfer fee could rise to £35 million, equivalent to the amount Bayern Munich spent to recruit Sadio Mane from Liverpool in the summer of 2022.
Sadio Mane leaves Bayern Munich after an unsuccessful season
The 31-year-old Senegalese striker has completed his medical and officially signed a four-year contract with the team that just won the 2023 Saudi Pro-League runner-up position. At Al-Nassr, Mane will become a teammate of Cristiano Ronaldo and three new recruits Alex Telles, Marcelo Brozovic, and Seko Fofana.
With weekly earnings of over £650,000 after tax, Mane is the highest-paid African footballer in history.

Having achieved much success with Liverpool, but when joining Bayern Munich with a sky-high salary of 17 million pounds per season, Sadio Mane no longer seemed to be himself when his performance dropped dramatically, and he was rarely used. Scoring only 7 goals in 25 appearances in the Bundesliga, Mane won the Bundesliga championship and the German Super Cup with Bayern Munich, but the impression he left was too faint.

The striker has not been used much under head coach Thomas Tuchel, especially after the "hand-talking" scandal with teammate Leroy Sane after the Champions League quarter-final, which resulted in him being suspended and fined.
Mane's situation is getting more and more complicated, making it even more difficult to integrate into the Bavarian team's environment.
Mane is not shining at Bayern Munich like he did when he played for Liverpool
Sadio Mane admitted that he felt "hurt" when he had to leave Bayern Munich because he wished for a better ending, at least contributing to the German No. 1 team. "I wanted to prove that to everyone this season. However, it is too late and I can only wish the club and the fans the best for the future," Mane confided to Sky Sport .
Mane cannot integrate into the football scene in the homeland of his former teacher Jurgen Klopp.
Meanwhile, coach Thomas Tuchel only said briefly: "Sometimes things don't go as we want. I have always had a very good relationship with Mane and will always be like that. I understand that he feels hurt and I am also very unhappy. Things like that happen because we have not yet fully developed our abilities, specifically my responsibility, but in this specific situation, breaking up is the best solution to untie the knot."
Sadio Mane needs the right environment to develop his football talent
Before joining Bayern Munich, Sadio Mane enjoyed a successful six-year spell at Liverpool, scoring 120 goals in 269 appearances and winning six major trophies, including the Premier League and Champions League. At Al-Nassr, Sadio Mane will wear the number 10 shirt and could make his debut when Al-Nassr take on Zamalek (Egypt) in the Arab Club Championship on 3 August.
