(NLDO) - Lang Van is located at the foot of Hai Van Pass and is planned to be built as a tourist complex and resort urban area.
The People's Committee of Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City has just announced the decision to approve the adjustment of the detailed planning 1/500 of the Lang Van Tourism and Urban Resort Complex project (Hoa Hiep Bac Ward).
The project has a total investment of nearly 44,000 billion VND, the adjusted scale is 512 hectares.
The land is adjacent to the sea, located at the foot of Hai Van Pass in Da Nang City, is the planned place to build the Lang Van tourist complex and resort urban area.
The population of the project is about 19,000 people. Of which the official population is nearly 18,000 people, the temporary population is about 1,000 people.
The project's goal is to form an international-class eco-tourism and resort complex; a smart urban area, housing and commercial services, with a complete social and technical infrastructure system in harmony with the terrain and natural landscape.
In November 2024, the Prime Minister issued a decision approving the adjustment of the project investment policy. The project progress is 5 years from the date of approval of the investment policy adjustment.
In phase 1, complete investment preparation procedures from year 1 to year 2. Phase 2 implements investment, acceptance and puts into use from year 2 to the end of year 5 (2027-2029).
Before being planned as a resort, Van village was known as an "oasis", isolated from the mainland and home to people with leprosy. In 2012, Da Nang City relocated the households here to a townhouse area in Hoa Hiep Nam ward, Lien Chieu district.
The Lang Van project was proposed in 2011. It was not until 2016 that the project completed approval procedures as well as land-related procedures.
In March 2021, the People's Committee of Da Nang City and the People's Committee of Lien Chieu District held a ceremony to announce the project's re-launch.
At the announcement ceremony, the representative of the project investor (Vinpearl Joint Stock Company) committed to comply with the project implementation process in accordance with regulations, ensure safety and timely construction as well as promote effective business activities to contribute to the development of Lien Chieu district and Da Nang city in the future.
