On the afternoon of February 12, the 15th day of the first lunar month of the year of At Ty, at Thang Long High School for the Gifted - Da Lat, Lam Dong Literature and Arts Association organized the 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day in 2025, with the theme "The Fatherland flies up".
In his opening speech, poet Thanh Duong Hong, Chairman of Lam Dong Literature and Arts Association, said that each year, Vietnam Poetry Day has its own theme, associated with important political and cultural events of the country. The year 2025 is marked as the beginning of a new era, the era of the Vietnamese nation's rise. Accordingly, the 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day this year has the theme "The Fatherland flies up".
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Pham S (left) presented flowers to the representative of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association on the occasion of Vietnam Poetry Day.
“Along with honoring cultural values, arousing the spirit of creativity and the desire to build a strong country; honoring poets and the value of poetry; meeting, exchanging and sharing creative experiences of poets; Poetry Day is also an intellectual and useful playground for the people and the public who love poetry,” informed poet Thanh Duong Hong.
The theme of Vietnam Poetry Day this year carries the message that all Vietnamese citizens unite, join hands, and unite to develop the country and rise up; continue to affirm Vietnam's position in the trend of integration and development ; the Vietnamese people have entered an era of self-development, with the aspiration for prosperity, happiness, and wealth.
On the occasion of Vietnam Poetry Day, Dr. Pham S read poems he composed, expressing his love for the land and people of Da Lat.
Speaking at Poetry Day, Dr. Pham S, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, said that Da Lat-Lam Dong is a land of artistic creation, an ideal creative environment for artists; a land with potential for cultural industry development, because it is favored with natural conditions, natural landscapes, architectural heritage, and humanity. Today's Poetry Day, there are many new poetic works praising the Party and beloved Uncle Ho; expressing love for the homeland, country, land and people of Lam Dong.
With new requirements in 2025, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Dr. Pham S hopes that the Provincial Literature and Arts Association will continue to create a useful playground for artists to continue to contribute. At the same time, closely follow the patriotic emulation movements launched by the province and the province's development motto to have valuable works about the homeland of Lam Dong.
