Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh believes that the Government will continue to achieve many results in its work, contributing to the entire Party, army and people entering a new era.
On the afternoon of February 18, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a conference to implement the National Assembly's resolution on the Government's organizational structure and assign tasks to a number of newly appointed members of the Government for the 2021-2026 term.
Attending the event were: Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Government agencies; leaders of ministries, departments, branches and central agencies.
Earlier the same day, at the 9th Extraordinary Session, the 15th National Assembly voted to pass Resolutions No. 176/2025/QH15 on the organizational structure of the Government for the 15th National Assembly term and Resolution No. 177/2025/QH15 on the number of Government members for the 15th National Assembly term.
According to Resolution No. 176/2025/QH15, the organizational structure of the Government for the 15th National Assembly term includes 14 Ministries and 3 ministerial-level agencies. According to Resolution No. 177/2025/QH15, the number of members of the Government for the 15th National Assembly term includes 25 members, including the Prime Minister, 7 Deputy Prime Ministers, 14 Ministers, and 3 Prime Ministers of ministerial-level agencies.
On the same day, the National Assembly also approved the appointment of Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung and Mr. Mai Van Chinh as Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2021-2026 term; approved the appointment of 4 Ministers for the 2021-2026 term, including: Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh; Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung; Minister of Agriculture and Environment Do Duc Duy; Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Dao Ngoc Dung.
On the same afternoon, President Luong Cuong presided over the ceremony to announce and hand over the President's decision to appoint the two Deputy Prime Ministers and four new Ministers approved by the National Assembly as mentioned above.
At the conference to deploy the National Assembly's resolution on the Government's organizational structure and assign tasks to a number of Government members for the 2021-2026 term, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh respectfully thanked the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the General Secretary, the President, the National Assembly Chairman, the National Assembly and the Central Committees and branches for their attention, direction and support to the Government in performing assigned tasks, including the consolidation and arrangement of the apparatus according to Resolution 18-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
On behalf of the Government, congratulating the Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers who have just been approved for appointment by the National Assembly and the President has handed over the appointment decision, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that as the highest administrative body, performing the functions and tasks assigned by the Party and the State in all fields, the Government's tasks are very heavy, especially in the context that the whole country is striving to achieve double-digit growth in the coming time in a sustainable direction, while at the same time ensuring macroeconomic stability; controlling inflation; ensuring major balances; well controlling public debt, budget deficit, government debt, foreign debt; maintaining independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity; ensuring security, order and social safety; ensuring social security; strengthening foreign affairs, maintaining a peaceful, cooperative and developing environment; effectively preventing negativity, corruption and waste.
The Prime Minister emphasized that, in the face of the rapidly changing and complex world situation, Government members must not be subjective or negligent, but must grasp the situation firmly, respond quickly and effectively to it; always be proactive, flexible, creative and effective; promote the spirit of solidarity and unity, build an honest, clean government, and serve the people; contribute to building a clean and strong Party, improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization and the quality of Party members; strictly comply with the Party's regulations and instructions; promote the strength of the People, make history for the People; mobilize all resources to develop the country quickly and sustainably; fight against negativity, corruption and waste, associated with protecting those who dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility on the basis of the provisions of the law, for the interests of the nation, the people and the interests of the people.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh believes that with the motto of “what is said must be done, what is committed must be implemented effectively and practically,” “thinking must be mature, ideology must be clear, determination must be high, efforts must be great, actions must be drastic, focused, key points, whatever is done must be done,” “clearly assigning people, tasks, responsibilities, time, and products,” the Government will continue to achieve many results in its work, contributing with the entire Party, the entire army, and the entire people to enter a new era – an era of strong, civilized, prosperous development, where people are increasingly well-off and happy.
On behalf of the newly appointed Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung respectfully thanks the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the General Secretary, the President, the National Assembly Chairman, and the National Assembly for their attention, direction, training, and trust in assigning tasks.
The new task is both an honor and a great task and a motivation for the newly appointed Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers to make greater efforts, with aspirations, bright minds and fiery hearts, together with the members of the Government to unite and build an honest Government, devoting all their efforts to serving the Fatherland and the people; fully implementing the guidelines, policies and guidelines of the Party and State and the directions of the Party and State leaders, especially the directions of the President and Prime Minister on this occasion; closely coordinating with ministries, branches and localities, from top to bottom, with one heart to excellently complete the assigned tasks; meeting the trust of the Party and State leaders and the requirements of the people.
