From small-scale, self-produced and self-consumed cultivation, Phieng An tea trees in Quang Thuan commune, Bach Thong district, Bac Kan province are now grown according to safe processes, linking production and consumption, building brands associated with tourism promotion. Phieng An tea trees, Quang Thuan commune, Bach Thong district, Bac Kan province were planted before 1992 with a total area of over 6 hectares. In order to improve the quality and build the brand of the village's tea products, the Phieng An Clean Agricultural Products Cooperative was established with the main product being tea trees grown and cared for naturally according to VietGAP standards - converted to organic.

To obtain delicious tea leaves, the process of harvesting and processing Phieng An tea is carried out very elaborately, following a continuous and strict technical process so that the tea is not broken but still retains the aroma and light astringent taste of the tea.
Along with implementing organic production processes, Phieng An tea cooperative has invested in a number of equipment and machines, applying technology in tea processing, thereby increasing tea quality and productivity, and making consumption easier.

In 2021, the tea products of the Phieng An Clean Agricultural Products Cooperative were rated 3 OCOP stars. This is a favorable condition for the Phieng An tea flavor to reach a wider range of customers, thereby helping to increase the income of the members of the Cooperative.
From fragmented, self-produced and self-consumed farming, Phieng An tea is now produced according to a process, linked to sustainable production, with a brand associated with promoting local tourism. Thanks to that, Phieng An village, from a Dao village down the mountain with many difficulties, has reached the new rural finish line, and is the only Dao village in Bac Kan province with 100% no poor households.
