At the ceremony, on behalf of the Party Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Minister Dang Quoc Khanh congratulated comrade Tran Tuan Ngoc on being trusted and appointed by the Party Committee to hold the position of Director of the National Remote Sensing Department.

Speaking with officials of the National Remote Sensing Department, Minister Dang Quoc Khanh said that in the context of climate change, natural disasters, and natural ecosystem degradation becoming a global emergency, countries are increasingly interested in promoting green growth and reducing emissions. Therefore, it is necessary to promote the application of remote sensing technology in monitoring resources and the environment. The Minister emphasized that when the remote sensing industry demonstrates its role and raises its position, the role and position of the Ministry will also be raised, so it is necessary to coordinate with agencies within the ministry and localities to effectively perform the tasks and responsibilities of the remote sensing industry.
The Minister also requested the National Remote Sensing Department to focus on promoting training, fostering, and building a team of leaders, civil servants, and cadres with high professional qualifications; boldly share strengths, difficulties, and obstacles with the Ministry's leaders to operate effectively and efficiently according to the requirements assigned by the Party, the State, the Party Committee, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
