In addition, the Ministry of Planning and Investment completed and submitted to competent authorities many major projects and reports, and issued nearly 13,000 documents related to the fields under the functions and tasks of the Ministry.

Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh commended the Ministry of Planning and Investment for successfully completing a large and comprehensive workload in all areas according to its assigned functions, tasks and powers; at the same time, affirmed that the overall results and achievements of the country in 2023 have a great contribution from the planning and investment sector.

Emphasizing that 2024 is a breakthrough year, of special importance in successfully implementing the 5-year plan 2021 - 2025, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Planning and Investment to maximize its role as a general staff agency; closely follow the conclusions and resolutions of the Central Committee, the National Assembly, and the Government, and concretize them to implement the goals and tasks of 2024; continue to make greater efforts in planning and macroeconomic coordination; perfect institutions, mechanisms, and policies to resolutely, synchronously, and effectively implement the 3 strategic breakthroughs; mobilize and effectively use resources for investment in national development, especially innovation policies; Focus on effectively and substantially restructuring the economy in conjunction with growth model innovation, research, consulting on implementation, promoting new economic models and sectors such as semiconductors, hydrogen, renewable energy, green transformation, digital transformation, circular economy, sharing economy; promote national digital transformation, promote administrative procedure reform, improve the investment and business environment; promote innovation, creative startups and enterprise development; do a good job of international economic integration, promote attracting foreign investment and external resources in a difficult context; attach importance to and do a good job of Party building, improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations and Party members; build a streamlined, effective and efficient apparatus, streamline the payroll in conjunction with restructuring and improving the quality of the staff; resolutely fight against corruption, waste, and negativity...
