Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong discussed with members of the working delegation of several Japanese Associations and CICS Company.

Also receiving the delegation were comrades: Mua A Vang, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Giang Thi Hoa, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

On the delegation's side were Mr. Momosaki Masato, President of Nippon Sakura Business Foundation; Mr. Fukuda Mitsumasa, President of Kansai Silver Service Association; Mr. Yamada Yuji, Executive Director of Japan Asia Medical and Welfare Association; and leaders of CICS Company.

Greeting the provincial leaders, Mr. Momosaki Masato, Chairman of the Nippon Sakura Business Foundation, expressed his joy and emotion for the warm and respectful welcome. Along with that, Mr. Momosaki Masato also introduced the human resource training, receiving Vietnamese trainees to Japan of the Associations; the current shortage of young labor in the fields of: Health care, construction, industry... in Japan. The delegation hoped that Dien Bien province would cooperate in human resource training to send the province's young labor force to Japan for training and work. In addition, the representative of the CICS Company also informed and proposed some plans for Japanese language training for students in Dien Bien.

In a warm and friendly atmosphere, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong shared information about the geographical situation, socio-economic development, potentials and strengths of Dien Bien province. In particular, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong also informed about the situation of young workers of the province who are currently working in major provinces and cities across the country. However, when they return from working, they do not bring much knowledge, mainly manual labor. Provincial leaders are determined to organize for students to go to work, learn knowledge to return to build their homeland. Meanwhile, Japan is in need of labor, so the two sides really need each other.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong presented typical agricultural products of Dien Bien province to the working delegation.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong also emphasized that students in Dien Bien are hard-working and diligent; the rate of high school graduates passing university entrance exams is very high in the region. The Provincial Party Secretary gave an example of a newly organized Japanese language training class in which 26/33 students were assessed as having the potential to become interpreters, although many of them are ethnic minorities. Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong hopes that the members of the delegation will witness the intelligence, dexterity, and diligence of Dien Bien students.

In addition, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong also informed that the province is urgently establishing Dien Bien University in the direction of a practical university, including medical and health care sectors, not only attracting students from Dien Bien, but also from some neighboring provinces. From there, connecting Dien Bien University and Associations in Japan to sign an agreement to send students to study and work in Japan.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong hopes that in the future, many students of the province will be able to study and train in countries with advanced science, technology and economy such as Japan to gain knowledge to return to build their homeland...
