Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong inspects projects serving the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong inspected the project to renovate, repair and upgrade the Provincial Stadium.

The project to renovate, repair and upgrade the Provincial Stadium has completed over 90% of the work volume. The investor and the construction unit committed to completing the project in March 2024. During the on-site inspection, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong requested the investor and the construction unit to focus on tidying up the stadium's entrance gates to make them neat and clean. Dien Bien Phu City People's Committee arranged and paved the road surface; reassembled the sidewalks, lighting systems... of the roads and streets leading to the stadium; mobilized households to clean up their houses and green trees to ensure a neat and tidy environment for the celebration. For the items inside the stadium, the construction unit focused its resources to complete the remaining items soon, clean the entire campus, and re-treat the field surface; and pay attention to fire prevention and fighting. By March 28, the arrangement of tables, chairs, and seats for Party and State leaders, veterans, and delegates attending the celebration must be completed.

Inspecting the progress of the conservation and restoration of the Him Lam Resistance Center relic, the Provincial Party Secretary assessed that the project's progress was very slow, with not many changes compared to the last inspection. The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial People's Committee to strengthen the direction of the project investor to quickly complete the dossier and procedures according to regulations to submit to the relevant ministries and branches for comments; actively deploy the preparation work to organize the groundbreaking ceremony to build the Him Lam Resistance Center relic on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong requested the Provincial People's Committee and relevant units to speed up the progress of preserving and embellishing the relic of the Him Lam Resistance Center.

For the Provincial Guest House project, up to now, the construction package has reached an estimated 70% completion; the equipment package is under construction according to the signed contract. The construction unit is expected to complete the project on April 20. Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong emphasized: This is a key project, especially important for the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory. Therefore, the construction unit has temporarily stopped all other projects to focus on human resources, vehicles, and machinery to speed up the progress of the Provincial Guest House project. In particular, focusing on the construction of important and urgent items such as: Rest rooms, dining rooms, guest houses, receptions, etc., preparing furniture for installation as soon as conditions are met. At the same time, the work of arranging the campus and traffic routes leading to the guest house is being carried out. The Project Management Board of civil and industrial works has stepped up supervision and management of the project, speeding up the progress but must ensure quality, aesthetics, and labor safety.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong inspected package No. 4 of Dynamic Road and the road to the Provincial People's Court headquarters.

Inspecting package 4 of the dynamic road project, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the investor to urge the contractor to speed up the progress; the People's Committee of Dien Bien Phu City urged to soon complete the road to the headquarters of the Provincial People's Court.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong directed the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to soon replace the material of the inscription on the wall leading to the Martyrs' Temple at the Dien Bien Phu battlefield.

Inspecting the A1 Hill relic, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial People's Committee to coordinate with relevant agencies, ministries and branches to organize a scientific seminar, to consider and propose rebuilding the temple at the location where the French army had previously destroyed it to build a bunker with a truncated banyan tree. At the Martyrs' Temple at the Dien Bien Phu battlefield, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to soon contact artisans to express the words "The temple was built from the deep gratitude of today's and future generations, from the memories of war still engraved in the minds, from the wounds on the bodies of veterans, from the scars imprinted on the motherland, from Mud, Blood and Flowers" in bronze and gold-plated letters. The completion deadline is before May 7, 2024. Funding for implementation is from socialized sources.
