On September 2, the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 (based in Vung Tau City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province) continued to investigate the case of transporting 30,000 liters of DO oil of unknown origin in Vung Tau waters.

Previously, on the evening of September 1, in the sea area about 7 nautical miles from Vung Tau Cape, the functional forces of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command coordinated with the Vung Tau Port Border Control Station (Border Guard of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) to inspect the ship BV5491TS.

At the time of inspection, there were 3 crew members on board, led by Mr. Ho Van Sot (born in 1968, from Phuoc Tinh commune, Long Dien district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province). According to the captain's statement, the BV5491TS was carrying about 30,000 liters of DO oil, but there were no documents proving the legality of the oil.

The authorities have drawn up a record and escorted the people, vehicles and evidence to the port of Squadron 301 for further investigation.
