At the ceremony, Mr. To Dinh Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, said that the program "One million national flags with fishermen at sea" (phase 2 named "Proud of the national flag") was launched by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper and implemented from June 1, 2019 in Bac Lieu province.

Up to now, after nearly 4 years, the program has expanded nationwide. Up to this point, the program has presented and signed a contract to present more than 1.7 million national flags. In addition to the national flags, the program also presents medical equipment, first aid kits at sea, life buoys, etc. to fishermen in 28/28 coastal provinces and cities; presents Uncle Ho's pictures and gifts to border guards and people living along the border in 25/25 provinces with land borders.

The Editor-in-Chief of the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper added that the newspaper has also coordinated with many localities across the country to build the "National Flag Road" project. In Hau Giang, this is the third project implemented by the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper. This project is more than 2.2 km long, with 180 flagpoles arranged on both sides of the road from the Luong Tam Commune welcome gate to the historical relic site of Uncle Ho Temple.

"This is a meaningful project, the heart of the Party Committee, government and people of Hau Giang, along with the staff of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper and its partners, demonstrating the spirit of remembering the source of water when drinking water. This is also an opportunity for local youth union members to look back and strive harder in the future..." - Mr. To Dinh Tuan emphasized.

On this occasion, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper awarded 100 scholarships to support students in difficulty in Hau Giang under the program "Scholarships to support ethnic minority and poor students", each worth 1 million VND.
