On the afternoon of January 24, a delegation led by Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation, visited and presented Tet gifts to the family of Mr. Le Kha (66 years old, residing in Ward 7, District 5). Mr. Kha is a 3/4-class disabled veteran who fought in the Cambodian battlefield. Mr. Kha has 2 children who are now grown and living on their own. Every day, Mr. Kha drives a motorbike taxi, while his wife sells soft drinks to earn money to support their lives.

On this occasion, Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet presented a gift of 5 million VND and wished Mr. Kha good health, hoping that Mr. Kha's family will always support and participate in local activities, continuing to promote the family tradition.
Afterwards, Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet and the delegation also visited Ms. Phung Tran's house (52 years old, living in Ward 6, District 5). It is known that Ms. Tran is Chinese, her family is poor, she makes a living by working as an hourly maid. Ms. Tran is raising 2 children alone, currently her eldest daughter is studying at college in Thu Duc City, her youngest son is in 7th grade.

Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet gave Ms. Tran a Tet gift (5 million VND/gift) and encouraged her to take care of her health. At the same time, Ms. Tuyet also requested the local authorities to provide timely support to Ms. Tran's family, so that Ms. Tran's children do not miss out on their education and future.
Also on the afternoon of January 24, the delegation visited and gave Tet gifts (5 million VND/gift) to the family of Kim Thu (16 years old, studying in grade 10, living in Ward 13, District 5).
Previously, on the morning of January 24, Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet and the delegation also visited and wished a happy new year at Children's Hospital 2, Dermatology Hospital and the Center for Vocational Training and Employment Support in Ho Chi Minh City.
This visit and New Year greeting activity is part of the plan to take care of Tet from the budget of Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2024.
Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet also said that this Tet holiday, National Assembly delegates will also take care of poor children and disadvantaged households with a total budget of about 300 million VND.
