As developers, financial analysts, and journalists begin to get their hands on the new Vision Pro, Apple is already preparing to launch a new version, according to Bloomberg. The “bitten apple” is expected to introduce the iPhone 15 in the fall as usual. However, over the next 12 months, the company will refresh all of its major product lines. These include two 24-inch iMacs, a 30-inch iMac, the iPad Pro and iPad Air, the Watch Ultra, and two new Watch 9s. In addition, Apple will sell 13-, 14-, and 16-inch MacBook Pros, all powered by the new M3 chip.
In addition to new products, consumers and investors are closely following the sales of Vision Pro. Apple is the latest company to enter the virtual reality space. While initial hands-on experiences have been positive, some have reported feeling nauseous after wearing the glasses or that they are too heavy. Vision Pro is more powerful than its competitors, featuring two HD displays and a custom chip to reduce latency.
Bloomberg reports that Apple is no longer keeping a tight rein on who can take the Vision Pro home. Previously, only engineers and top executives were allowed to do so. But starting next month, select developers will also be able to get their hands on the headset.
Bloomberg sources revealed that Apple has continued to research a higher-end version and a cheaper version of Vision Pro.
