iPhone SE 4

Apple's budget iPhone is getting a major upgrade, expected to launch in the coming days, marking the first update since 2022.

First, the iPhone SE 4 will ditch the Home button and switch to an edge-to-edge OLED display with a notch.

The new iPhone SE will also have some of the features of the high-end iPhone 16, including: A18 Chip, 8GB RAM, Apple Intelligence Support, 48MP Main Camera, USB-C Port.

In addition, the iPhone SE 4 is also expected to use the first 5G modem produced by Apple itself, making it an attractive option in the low-cost segment.

iPhone 17 Air

Apple will launch four new iPhone 17 models this fall. Releasing four iPhone models each year has become a tradition, but this year one of them will have a big change.

The iPhone Plus model will be gone, replaced by the iPhone 17 Air.

The iPhone 17 Air will focus on design over performance. It has the same configuration as the standard iPhone 17, such as the A19 chip (not the A19 Pro) and 8GB of RAM (instead of 12GB on the Pro line). However, the 17 Air will cost more due to its ultra-thin, futuristic design.

It will be the thinnest iPhone ever, and with the new screen size, it could be the perfect choice between the two Pro models.

Two other notable features of the iPhone 17 Air are its Apple-made 5G modem and its high-refresh-rate display.

After many years of Apple not changing the design of iPhone models much, the iPhone 17 Air will bring an exciting new look, making users consider carefully when choosing to buy an iPhone this year.

iPhone 17 Pro

While the iPhone 17 Air is the standout product, Apple certainly isn't neglecting the Pro line.

The iPhone 17 Pro retains the same 6.3-inch display as the iPhone 16 Pro, but there are some design changes. The frame will switch from titanium to aluminum and the camera cluster will be larger, rectangular in shape.

In terms of hardware, the iPhone 17 Pro will have: A19 Pro chip, 12GB RAM (the largest RAM ever on a Phone) and Qualcomm's 5G modem.

There will certainly be significant upgrades to the rear camera to match the new design, but more notably, Apple has also improved the selfie camera for the first time in years.

The entire iPhone 17 series will have its front camera upgraded from 12MP to 24MP to improve selfie quality.

iPhone 17 Pro Max

As usual, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will have all the best features of the iPhone 17 Pro, along with some extras like longer battery life thanks to its larger size.

Some leaks have suggested that the iPhone 17 Pro Max will have a smaller Dynamic Island than the other models. It’s unclear how much smaller that will be, but this has raised the possibility that Face ID could be embedded directly into the screen, helping to shrink the notch. However, another recent report has denied that the Dynamic Island will change, at least not this year.

It's also possible that the iPhone 17 Pro Max will get additional camera upgrades over the iPhone 17 Pro, but there are no reports confirming this at this time.

iPhone 17

The final iPhone to mention is the standard iPhone 17.

Last year's iPhone 16 was one of the best entry-level models in years. Whether or not this will happen with the iPhone 17 this year remains to be seen, but what you can expect from the entry-level iPhone in 2025 is no slouch, with a 24MP selfie camera, A19 chip, 8GB of RAM, and the same 6.1-inch display as the iPhone 16.

More leaks about the standard iPhone will likely surface in the coming months, but for now, it looks like the iPhone 17 will have to compete not only with the Air and Pro lines, but also with the cheaper iPhone SE 4.

The new iPhone series including iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 17 Air will be launched in September 2025, according to Apple's annual tradition. Meanwhile, the low-cost iPhone SE 4 model may be introduced by Apple as early as next week.
