According to the report, at the end of October, Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School received a complaint from a parent that "female students were fighting in the restroom on the second floor of the school". Since then, the school has verified the information of the parent's complaint.
Verification results show that at the end of the 2022-2023 school year, students QNTV (grade 7/6) and students in grade 6/8 had conflicts and fights during recess in the yard at the school's second campus.

Although the problem has been resolved by the school and parents, these students still secretly continue to have conflicts in the 2023-2024 school year. The incident is as follows: CTA students had a conflict with QNTV in the previous school year and because QNTV borrowed money from a friend of CTA (who had transferred schools) but did not pay it back, on September 23, CTA invited students NHYN (class 9/5) with PDT (class 9/9) and BNTK (class 8/6) with VBT (class 7/9) to meet QNTV in the girls' restroom (2nd floor) to talk. Here, three students CXM (class 9/9, CTA's sister) along with NHYN, PDT took turns beating QNTV
These three students also warned QNTV not to tell anyone, otherwise they would be beaten again. QNTV was afraid so he did not dare to tell the school.
After learning about the incident, on November 3, the school invited the students involved and their parents to the school for a meeting. As a result, the school informed the parents and students that the violations would be assessed as having poor conduct in the first semester, and coordinated with the Police of Ward 3, Go Vap District to deter and educate the students.
However, on the morning of November 5, when obtaining more specific information through the clip circulating on social media, the school realized that the incident was serious. Student QNTV was beaten by 3 students; the attitude of the student who committed the assault was unacceptable; a student recorded a clip of the assault on QNTV and shared it among the students...
"The incident of students fighting has had a negative impact, causing insecurity among students and parents of the school. Therefore, the school is continuing to verify the incident and will resolutely handle the violators according to the regulations of the education sector to help them realize their wrongdoings, and at the same time deter the remaining students to end school violence in the future," the report of the Department of Education and Training of Go Vap District stated.
On (November 7), Thanh Nien Newspaper published information about the incident of students fighting in the restroom of Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School (Ward 3, Go Vap District).
In the clip that went viral on social media, three female students took turns beating, punching, and kicking another female student in the head and face. The beaten female student could only hold her head and endure the beating. Even after she was knocked to the bathroom floor, the three female students still grabbed her hair and continued to beat her.
Speaking to Thanh Nien Newspaper reporter, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh, Principal of Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School, confirmed the incident of students fighting at the school, and said that the school had coordinated with the police to resolve the incident.
