“This shows that stamps are increasingly gaining attention, and the love and passion for stamp collecting is spreading widely, not only in Vietnam but also in the ASEAN region and around the world,” Mr. Dong Luong Son shared.
Established in 1974 in Singapore, the Asia-Pacific Philatelic Association (FIAP) currently has 31 members from countries in Asia, Australia and South Africa. Vietnam has been an official member of FIAP since 1993. The stamp exhibition initiated by several ASEAN countries since 2011 is a professional activity aimed at improving qualifications, sharing experiences, and developing the stamp collecting movement of members. Since 2022, with the permission of the Central Foreign Affairs Committee and the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Stamp Association has proposed and been approved by the FIAP Executive Board for Vietnam to participate and become the 5th member. This is an annual event hosted by member countries in rotation. In 2025, this regional stamp exhibition will be held in Singapore. |
