The conference to deploy the final round of the 2024 political essay contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the Party Committee of the Central Agencies took place on the morning of July 12 at the headquarters of Nhan Dan Newspaper. Comrade Le Hai Binh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine, Chairman of the Council attended and chaired the conference.

Speaking at the Conference, comrade Le Hai Binh emphasized the widespread and meaningful nature of the political contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation, not only at the national level but also at local party committees; in party organizations, agencies, units, and socio-political organizations.
Directing the Conference, comrade Le Hai Binh directed the Conference to focus on discussing the plan, progress, task assignment methods as well as criteria for judging works in the Final round.
According to the report of the Secretariat of the Final Round Council, by the time of the deadline for submitting entries to the Contest (May 31, 2024), the Organizing Committee of the Contest had received 4,924 entries in 5 categories: magazine, newspaper, television, radio and video clip (of which, there were 4,809 entries in the magazine and newspaper categories, 40 entries in the television category, 28 entries in the radio category, 47 entries in the video clip category) submitted by 55/61 Party Committees under the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc and Youth Union of the Central Agencies Bloc to participate in the Contest.
From June 20 to July 3, 2024, the Preliminary Councils graded the exams with a spirit of urgency, seriousness, and responsibility.
Accordingly, synthesizing the scoring results of the Preliminary Round Judging Councils, the Organizing Committee of the Contest unanimously selected a total of 196 works for the Final Round, including 84 magazine works, 65 newspaper works, 19 television works, 14 radio works and 14 video clip works; at the same time, the Organizing Committee of the Contest sent 196 works of 5 genres selected for the Final Round to the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to participate in the Central-level Contest.
Regarding the award structure, the Final Jury will select and propose to the Steering Committee and the Organizing Committee of the Competition according to the following award structure:
- Magazine genre works: 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, 8 third prizes, 20 consolation prizes (total number of 32/84 works selected).
- Newspaper genre works: 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, 8 third prizes, 20 consolation prizes (total number of 32/65 works selected) .
- Television works: 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 8 consolation prizes (total 14/19 works selected) .
- Radio genre works: 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 8 consolation prizes (total number of 14/14 works selected (100%) .
- Political works in the video clip genre: 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 8 consolation prizes (total number of 14/14 works selected (100%) .
At the Conference, the Council members gave many valuable opinions and contributions so that the Final Round scoring process would take place most smoothly, ensuring fairness and compliance with the criteria.
Previously, the Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest decided to establish the Preliminary Councils, including: Preliminary Council for judging the contest at Communist Magazine (with 15 council members, 2 council secretaries) ; Preliminary Council for judging the contest at Vietnam News Agency (with 15 council members, 2 council secretaries) ; Preliminary Council for judging the contest at Vietnam Television and Voice of Vietnam (with 9 council members, 3 council secretaries) .
2024 is the third year that the Party Committee of the Bloc has launched a political contest to protect the Party's ideological foundation.
The contest is a practical and meaningful activity to concretize Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW of the 12th Politburo, Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress of the Bloc.
