YouToube Premium is currently offering Vietnamese users the first month of free registration. The monthly fee for individual customers after that is 79,000 VND/month (excluding VAT).
For the family plan, the monthly cost will be 149,000 VND/month. To use the service, users need to access the link youtube.com/premium or access the Buy YouTube Premium tab on the YouTube mobile app.
In addition to the two packages above, YouTube Premium also has a package for students starting at only 49,000 VND/month. However, when registering for this package, you need to upload some personal documents (transcript, admission notice) to prove that you are studying at the school.
Previously, Vietnamese users who wanted to use YouTube Premium had to go through another country (such as India, Türkiye or Singapore). The monthly price ranged from 30,000 VND to 55,000 VND and was slightly reduced if purchased annually. However, the experience was still hampered by the need for users to use a VPN (virtual network) service, which slowed down the network speed.
The appearance of YouTube Premium is expected to help Vietnamese users no longer be "tortured" by "my family has been here for 3 generations..." advertisements about miracle doctors who can cure all diseases.
