According to initial information, at around 1:30 a.m. on August 27, residents living on Tien Lan 15 Street discovered a burning smell and black smoke rising from a packaging factory on Tien Lan 15 Street, Ba Diem Commune, Hoc Mon District.
At this time, many people around panicked and ran away. Some people used mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire but failed.
Because the factory contained many flammable items, the fire quickly rose and spread to two neighboring houses. Fortunately, there was no one in the factory when the fire broke out.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Hoc Mon District Police dispatched vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.
At about 2:50 a.m. the same day, the fire was basically under control. The fire burned down many properties.
Currently, the cause and damage of the fire are being investigated by the police.
