Phu Tho province assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committee of Viet Tri city, Viet Tri city police, and Minh Nong ward people's committee to continue to implement boundary markers to protect unexploited minerals in the Red River sand mine to be completed before August 30.
The province directed the Inspectorate of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to organize inspections of land allocation, land lease, management of public land funds, Red River bank land; land funds managed by the People's Committees at the commune level in areas outside the Red River dike, Minh Nong ward, to be completed before September 15.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province also requested the People's Committee of Viet Tri city to direct the People's Committee of Minh Nong ward and local organizations to be responsible for propagating, mobilizing, and explaining to people not to prevent state management agencies from placing boundary markers to protect unexploited minerals according to the provisions of law.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the People's Committee of Minh Nong Ward shall inspect and review the current status of land use; count households with trees, crops, assets on land, land lease contracts, land use documents (if any), make a detailed and specific list and send it to the Inspectorate of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment before August 15.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Viet Tri City shall be responsible to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee if there are cases where people continue to gather, protest, and prevent state agencies from performing their duties similar to the above incident.
Previously, about 40 people in Doan Ket area, Thanh Cong area, Minh Nong ward, Viet Tri city, gathered with hoes, shovels, and slogans to surround the working group of relevant authorities, preventing the group from determining the boundary and setting up markers to protect unexploited minerals in the sand mine of the Red River, in Minh Nong commune, Viet Tri city.
