Strictly handle cases of illegal racing, weaving, speeding, and reckless overtaking.

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – Regarding the handling of cases of illegal racing, weaving, speeding, and reckless overtaking, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho has just issued a directive in Document 1490/VP-GT acknowledging and highly appreciating the City Police in the recent past for proactively taking action and strictly handling violations of traffic safety and order, especially cases of illegal racing, weaving, speeding, reckless overtaking, carrying more people than prescribed, not wearing helmets, not having vehicle registration, and not having a driving license (of which 13 cases were identified as students).

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho directed to continue to strengthen propaganda, education and handling of violations with subjects such as teenagers, pupils and students.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the City Police to continue to effectively implement Plan No. 225/KH-CAHP-PV01 dated January 25, 2024 on preventing, combating, and handling illegal racing, weaving, speeding, and reckless overtaking. At the same time, the Department of Education and Training, Hai Phong City Youth Union, and People's Committees of districts and towns, based on the List of students, students, and teenagers violating traffic safety and order as reported by the City Police, shall take specific measures to propagate, educate, and handle violations.

The City Traffic Safety Committee, the City Police, the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Information and Communications, the Hai Phong Youth Union, and the People's Committees of districts and towns continue to implement the direction of the City People's Committee in the Plans: No. 14/KH-UBND dated January 23, 2024 on implementing the work of ensuring traffic order and safety in 2024; No. 35/KH-UBND dated February 2, 2024 on implementing Directive No. 31/CT-TTg dated December 21, 2023 of the Prime Minister on strengthening the work of ensuring traffic order and safety for school-age children in the new situation; Strengthen measures to propagate, educate, and handle violations related to illegal racing, weaving, speeding, reckless overtaking, carrying more people than prescribed, not wearing helmets, not having vehicle registration, not having a driver's license, paying special attention to students, youth, and teenagers.
