Attending the Commendation Ceremony were: Ms. Phung Thi Kim Nga - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Hoang Anh - Deputy Head of the Ethnic Minority Committee of Vinh Phuc Province, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Commendation Ceremony; Mr. Pham Khuong Duy - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Vinh Phuc Province; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors and organizations of the province; especially the presence of 10 teachers and 138 ethnic minority students with excellent achievements in the 2023-2024 school year.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Commendation Ceremony, Mr. Hoang Anh - Deputy Head of the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Vinh Phuc province, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Commendation Ceremony, said that in the National Excellent Student Competition for the 2023-2024 school year, Vinh Phuc province had 89/98 students participating in the competition winning prizes, a rate of 90.82% (6 First prizes, 29 Second prizes, 33 Third prizes, 21 Encouragement prizes), ranking 6th out of 63 provinces/cities nationwide in terms of quantity and quality of prizes. There was 1 student participating in the International Biology Olympiad and won a Bronze Medal.
In the 2024 National High School Graduation Exam, Vinh Phuc ranked first in the country for the second consecutive time, with an average score of 7.464 points, an increase of 0.245 points compared to 2023. Regarding the average score of the subjects, Vinh Phuc province had 4/9 subjects with the highest average scores: Civic Education with an average score of 8.97 points, followed by Geography with 8.08 points; Physics 7.50 points, History 7.44 points. The remaining subjects all had average scores in the Top 10 nationwide, specifically: Biology 7.01 points, ranked 3rd; Chemistry 7.25 points, ranked 4th; Math 6.95 points, ranked 5th; Foreign Language 6.08, ranked 6th; Literature 7.93 points, ranked 9th.
In addition, the Education and Training sector of Vinh Phuc province continues to successfully carry out the three tasks of "Improving people's knowledge, training human resources and nurturing talents", in which the work of discovering and nurturing excellent students has achieved outstanding results.
In these general achievements, there are significant contributions from teachers and ethnic minority students in the province who have constantly made efforts, overcome difficulties, strived, trained and achieved encouraging results. Among them are:
15 ethnic minority teachers achieved excellent teacher results at district, city and provincial levels; 31 ethnic minority students achieved national and provincial awards in various subjects; 57 students achieved awards in provincial excellent student competitions; 89 students achieved awards in district and city excellent student competitions and many students with difficult circumstances rose up to achieve excellent results in studying and training.
“In today’s ceremony, we commend and honor 15 teachers and 138 ethnic minority students who are outstanding in their studies and training, striving to overcome difficulties to become good children, good students, and future masters of the country. On behalf of the leaders of the Ethnic Minorities Committee and the leaders of the Department of Education and Training, I warmly commend and congratulate the achievements that teachers and students have achieved in the past school year,” emphasized the Deputy Head of the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Vinh Phuc province.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Phung Thi Kim Nga - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province said that in recent years, Vinh Phuc province has proactively built and implemented many mechanisms and policies, creating favorable conditions for the education and training of the province in general and ethnic minority education in particular to develop more and more.
Vinh Phuc province has paid attention to investing in developing and improving the overall quality of education and training; investing in school facilities and equipment, while improving the quality of management staff and teachers, thanks to which the rate of excellent students in the province in general and ethnic minority students in particular is increasing, each year higher than the previous year. The achievements of teachers and ethnic minority students being commended and rewarded today are a testament to that.
“I especially commend the achievements of teachers and ethnic minority students, many of whom have very difficult family circumstances, but with a spirit of studiousness, will, determination and high determination, they have overcome their circumstances to achieve excellent results in studying and training, becoming shining examples and the most beautiful flowers in the garden of emulation in teaching well and studying well in the Education sector. These achievements bring honor to their families and schools, and make important contributions to the achievements of the provincial Education sector in particular and the achievements in socio-economic development of the province in general,” Vice Chairwoman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee Phung Thi Kim Nga emphasized.

Regarding the students who were commended and rewarded, Vice Chairwoman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee Phung Thi Kim Nga said that the achievements they have achieved are extremely valuable, worthy of pride and are the premise for the next longer, further, higher steps on the journey ahead, however, this is only the initial success.

At the Ceremony, authorized by the Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 5 teachers and 10 students with excellent achievements in studying and training in the 2023-2024 school year. Awarded Certificates of Merit from the Head of Vinh Phuc Provincial Ethnic Minority Committee to 10 teachers and 128 outstanding ethnic minority students in the 2023-2024 school year.
